How do we feel in a big city? How do we feel? How does the city optimize and recycle our feelings, our sense of uniqueness, our connection with the past that was before the big cities? How does the city resist the chaos of individual impulses, unifying our present?
"Into the wild" – a work at the intersection of modern art, anthropology and taxidermy is a series of totems in form. Each totem consists of a zoomorphic mask based on an anatomical sculpture of the face of one of the European wild animals. The base is covered instead of the skin with a fabric printed with photo documentation of the walls of one of the European cities covered with layers of wild street art (the photos were taken by the author in the period from 2016 to 2020. The skeleton of the totem sculpture is a skeleton made of metal mesh, referring to the image of a storage cabinet.
